Professor Judith Lingenfelter maintains that students who aspire to be teachers need not just a cognitive understanding of racism and ethnocentricism, but an affective one as well. She presents several experiential classroom exercises which she has developed and successfully used which are based on biblical principles relevant to cross-cultural understanding. Dr. Lingenfelter directs the Doctor of Education program with a cross-cultural emphasis in the School of Intercultural Studies at Biola University, La Mirada, California.
