Further Along the Way: A Review of Catechism of the Catholic Church----A Review Essay

Michael J. McClymond

Michael J. McClymond analyzes the origin, content, and purpose of the recently published Catechism of the Catholic Church and raises critical questions about its significance for both Roman Catholic and non-Catholic Christians. Although the Catechism has been criticized for representing only the hierarchical view of Catholic faith by some, McClymond sees it as a hopeful document for future ecumenical relations between Christians. Mr. McClymond teaches at the University of California, San Diego.
