The Voyage Toward Truth

George B. Wall

We generally seem to assume that with persistence in proper reasoning and information gathering, we shall make steady progress toward the truth. George B. Wall outlines three traditional positions which see the pursuit of truth as far more problematic, and then he reflects on the implications of each position for the pursuit of truth. Finally, he considers one solution to the problem of pursuing the truth, namely, divine forgiveness. Mr. Wall is a retired professor of philosophy from Lamar University.
