A "Third Quest" of the historical Jesus has been under way for twenty years. For the most part, scholarship has been sensitive to the Jewish and Palestinian context in which Jesus taught and ministered. According to Craig Evans, however, the views of the Jesus Seminar are problematic and are receiving much deserved criticism. Mr. Evans is professor and director of the graduate program in biblical studies at Trinity Western University.
