Notes on Acts 10 from the Middle East Studies Program

David Holt

According to David Holt, the Middle East Studies Program sponsored by the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities engages students with the culture, religion, and politics of the Middle East by arranging encounters with people, ideas, and places—including countries like Egypt, Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Israel, and Palestine. The stories below offer three areas of comparative reflection—group identity and behavior, tendencies toward violence, and religious commonalities—that challenge students to reexamine their own values and behaviors as Christians and as citizens. Mr. Holt is Director of the Middle East Studies Program.
