“All is Righteousness and there is no Equality”: C. S. Lewis on Gender and Justice

Adam Barkman

Very little has been written about C. S. Lewis’s gender theory, and next to none of this has been written by men. In this essay, Adam Barkman seeks to address this first by constructing an accurate picture of Lewis’s theory, and secondly by commending it for its faithfulness to the hierarchical conception of gender as taught by Scripture, nature and our forbearers. Mr. Barkman is Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Prairie Bible College.
